Langtang Gosaikunda Lake trek is an amazing journey to North West to East of Central Himalaya. This trek is known as holy trek. Our main destination is Gosaikunda Lake. It is holy Lake of Hindu and Buddhist people. It has great belief that one who bath in this lake will decrease his or her sin. Every year there will be a gathering of local people for several ceremonies. This trek is also a wonderful and picturesque destination. We can get adventure here as we move to the highest point of the Langtang region in few days. We fully trek on the land surface area of Langtang National park.
Our trek to Langtang Gosaikund Lake starts with a drive to Syabrubesi. It is headquartered of Rasuwa district. Our first few days go to Langtang site. We follow the trial of Lama Hotel, Langtang village, and Kyanjin Gompa. In Kyanjin Gompa we climb Tserku ri. It is the best viewpoint in the Langtang region. From the top, we get the awesome views of Langtang lirung, Ganesh Himal, Naya Kang peak and Yala peak. Having a good memory we return back to the same way and from Bamboo, we go to Gosaikunda site. We follow the trial of Thulo syabru, Sing Gompa and to Gosakunda Lake. Every village is an inhabitant of Tamang community people. Most of them follow Tibetan culture and tradition as the villages are very close to Tibet border. In this our trek is completed driving back to Kathmandu from Dhunche.

Details Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu 1,327 m and transfer to hotel.
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representatives from Everest Trekking Routes will welcome you. He/she will asset you and transfer you to the hotel for your overnight.
Day 02: In Kathmandu with a sightseeing tour and trek preparations.
Today, you will do a day tour in Kathmandu valley. In morning time you will visit Pashupatinath (oldest and holy Hindu temple), Bauddhanath (Buddhist temple is known as little Tibet), and Swayambhunath (monkey temple). Finishing this we return for lunch. After lunch, you will visit Kathmandu durbar square and Patan Durbar square. In Kathmandu durbar square you will visit Kumari temple (temple of the living goddess).
Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,460 m - 07 hrs journey.
In morning time we drive to Rasuwa district to Langtang region. This drive directly leads us to high hills. It gives us views of Himalayan peaks and rolling green hills. We pass through many farm villages and towns. And finally, we reach a nice Tamang community village at Syabrubesi for our night passing through Dhunche. It is an entrance of Langtang National Park begins.
Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel 2, 350 m - 06 hrs.
Its first-day walk of our trek and leads us to bridge over Langtang Khola (river). We climb uphill through scattered farm villages and terraces. We walk into a cool shade of forest at Riverside. Having lunch we again continue climbing through beautiful forests of pines, bamboo tree lines. This area is famous for rare and elusive Red Panda with much other wildlife. Like this, we reach lama hotel for our night.
Day 05: Trek to Langtang village 3, 307m via Ghoretabela - 06 hrs.
Early morning we continue our walk to Langtang village. It leads us to higher into a river gorge. It is within lovely woodlands of tall trees of pines. We follow the river upstream past few houses and cattle herder’s shelters and reach Ghoretabela for our lunch. It is a nice spot with a beautiful forest surrounding. From here 3 hours of good walk in the forested area will let us reach Langtang village for our night.
Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,749 m - 04 hrs.
We continue our walk to Kyanjin Gompa. We head continuously on uphill. We pass through deep gorge opens up into a wide beautiful valley. We get amazing views of snow-capped mountains. It surrounds the whole Langtang valley. We encounter several prayer or mani walls in our path until we reach Kyanjin Gomba. This lovely valley is shadowed by an array of peaks with Langtang Lirung glacier. We can also see the cheese processing factory established around 35 years ago. It was established with the help and support of Swiss assistance.
Day 07: Rest day at Kyanjin for acclimatization and hikes.
Now it’s perfect rest day at high altitude. Here are many places for short hiking over 4,000 m. From the top, we get a better panorama of surrounding mountains. The major peaks include Ghengu Liru (Langtang II 6571 m), Langtang Lirung (7,425 m) Kimshun (6,745 m) and Shalbachum (6,918 m) to the south. The Chimsedang Lekh forms a ridge of peaks include Naya-Kanga 5,846 m and Gangchempo, Tilman's beautiful Fluted Peak. In this way, we spend our whole day in Kyanjin.
Day 08: Trek back to Lama Hotel 2, 350m - 07 hrs.
Our last view of the wonderful surrounding is as memorable as we leave Langtang area. Now it’s time to return back. We will return on the same path. Our today’s destination is the Lama Hotel. Our walk will be long distance with very few short ups in between walk. It will be easy in walking as we are already friendly with the tracks.
Day 09: Trek to Upper (Thulo) Syabru village 2,118m - 06 hrs.
From Lama Hotel our trek continues to alternative route to Thulo Syabru. In morning time we get short downhill to Riverside and Bamboo area. We walk through a forest of rhododendron, oaks and bamboo forests. Having short rest we continue uphill to the ridge of Thulosyabru. We pass a few farmlands and a big landslide section.
Day 10: Trek to Singh Gomba / Chandanbari 3,254 m - 05 hrs.
Leaving the village walk we then climb to enchanting dense forest of lovely rhododendron, oaks and pine trees. In this period we get simultaneous views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal and west peaks of Manaslu and Annapurna Himalaya. Although we need to climb steeply up it is interesting to walk in having more than 10 varieties of rhododendron species. Viewing all this we reach Singh Gomba / Chandanbari village. Here we can see the cheese factory and the old monastery at the top of the village.
Day 11: Trek to Gosainkund 4,381 m / 14,375ft - 05 hrs.
Today, we walk to our next destinations the main highlight of our journey Ghosaikunda Lake. Our morning walk leads to uphill at the beautiful alpine coniferous forest. In this period we are offered with views of Annapurna, Manaslu Mountains to North West and Langtang Himal range ahead north. We walk pass few settlements of small lodges and huts at Laurabinaya. Continuing our walk we reach top notch of west Laurabinaya pass (3,932 m) via Cholang Pati and Laurabinayak. From here we descend to Gosainkund area. At first, we reach Saraswati and Bhiarav kunda. From here short climb leads us to the main huge pond at Gosainkund where we will stay our night.
Day 12: Goshaikunda to Dhunche
In the morning time, we will visit Goshaikunda Lake. If possible we can bath here. It is said that bathing in this lake will remove our sin. Finishing the entire visit we then return back to our teahouse and be prepared for Dhunche. It will be easy in walking as we just need to walk the downhill track to Dhunche.
Day 13: Dhunche to Kathmandu.
Having a great country walk on the scenic trail to Langtang region we lastly drive back to Kathmandu. It will take us about 6 to 7 hours to reach Kathmandu. Reaching on Kathmandu, you can do last minute shopping in Kathmandu. At night we celebrate Farewell Dinner together with the trekking team.
Day 14: Departure from Kathmandu
Now it’s time to say goodbye to the Kathmandu. Your journey in Nepal comes to an end today. You are transferred to the airport for your returning flight. Have a safe journey. Hope you will return back to Nepal again.
